Hey Reader,
This past week on March 27, 2024, psychologist and Nobel prize winner Daniel Kahneman passed away at the age of 90.
Kahneman is best known for his 2011 book Thinking, Fast and Slow, a summary of his research into decision-making and the heuristics of judgement.
In 2009, Stephanie and I were introduced to Kahneman's work during a Behavioral Economics course we took together. I remember reading the book not long after it came out.
It's been a longtime favorite of mine—but I was surprised to find so many in the startup community sharing that opinion.
My Twitter feed was full of people talking about Dr. Kahneman, including Y Combinator's founder, Paul Graham:
Stephanie wrote a larger article about Kahneman and his work on our blog.
If you're a Kahneman fan—or you want to know what all the fuss is about, check it out here.
